Employee Drug Testing

Do you do drug testing system-wide?
All employees?

Just some branches?

Thanks for your help. Our system has some counties that do this, and some that don’t. We’re looking at the possibility of a system-wide policy, and wanted to see what others were doing.

Playaways

Greetings:

I believe that some of you are checking out ‘playaways’ at your libraries. I have been told that they need batteries changed after every play. Those of you who have them, do you supply new batteries with each check-out or do your patrons provide their own batteries? Or do you sell batteries? Do you sell the head phones?

Thanks for your answers.

Directors’ Knowledge Base

Directors:

The intent is to provide a single location for collecting and making available the wisdom of you all.

Personal Use of Staff Computers

(Posted by Admin on behalf of Dr. Veatch)

Hi, Susan!

I almost decided not to put this response on the list, ’cause I don’t think it will be considered ‘right’ by some directors and possibly GPLS folks, even though if the truth were known every one of us has probably used her/his library PC (and/or notebook) on occasion for personal stuff.
